On September 13, Shen Hanyao, Executive Chairman of the Forum and Dean of the Warton Economic Institute, led the top 500 listed companies to visit Zhenjiang, and had in-depth exchanges with Zhenjiang Mayor Zhang Yefei on cooperation in the construction of CBT 100 science and technology innovation parks. Representatives from POWERCHINA, Yida China, and the American Universities Cooperative Leadership Alliance (ACL) attended the event.

Shen Hanyao pointed out that as a medium-sized city in the Yangtze River Delta region, the sixth largest urban agglomeration in the world, Zhenjiang enjoys a beautiful view of rivers, mountains and rivers, and enjoys significant advantages in terms of transportation location, ecological environment, and operating costs, and has huge potential for future development. It is hoped that on the basis of the previous friendly cooperation, the scope of cooperation between the two parties can be further expanded, and the advantageous resources such as the China’s top 500 listed companies and the top 100 universities in the world can be brought together in Zhenjiang to jointly build Zhenjiang into a model for the revitalization of China's medium-sized cities.

On behalf of Zhenjiang municipal Party committee and government, Zhang Yefei extended a warm welcome to Shen Hanyao and his delegation, and thanked Warton Economic Institute and the CBT 100 forum for their long-term care and guidance to Zhenjiang. Zhang Yefei pointed out that the cooperation between Zhenjiang and Warton Economic Institute and the CBT 100 forum has accurate positioning, large space and good prospects. The two sides should do a good job in the fields of cooperation mechanism, project construction and industry introduction, speed up the work progress and spare no effort to promote the settlement of scientific and technological innovation industrial projects in Zhenjiang.
