From April 29 to May 2, at the invitation of Wang Hongxin, chairman of Zhongtai group, Shen Hanyao, President of Warton Economic Institute and executive chairman of the CBT 100 Summit Forum of China's listed companies, visited Xinjiang Zhongtai group during the May 1 International Labor Day. They made an investigation and exchange on how to give full play to the high-end research planning resources and advantages of Warton Economic Institute and the CBT 100 forum, boost the strength and expansion of Zhongtai group, and march into the world's top 100 enterprises.

Zhongtai group is the largest state-owned enterprise in Xinjiang, with more than 110 holding subsidiaries. In 2017, its total assets exceeded 100billion yuan, and its sales revenue reached 50billion yuan. It has built ten major industrial parks in many places in Xinjiang and Tajikistan. During their stay in Xinjiang, Shen Hanyao and his party went to Urumqi, Fukang, Korla, Turpan and other places to investigate the core industrial parks and key enterprises under Zhongtai group, such as Fukang energy, Huatai heavy chemical industry, Zhongtai Korla petrochemical, Bosten Lake ecological fishery, Xinjiang Fulida fiber, Bazhou Jinfu special yarn industry, MEC chemical industry, and tuokesun energy, to learn more about the industrial layout of Zhongtai group Business operation and construction of key projects.

Shen Hanyao fully affirmed the brilliant achievements of Zhongtai group, which grew from small to large, from weak to strong, and continued to develop at a high speed. In particular, he highly appreciated the unique contributions made by Zhongtai group in the fields of maintaining national unity and stability in Xinjiang, maintaining long-term social stability, and serving national energy security. He pointed out that with the in-depth promotion of the the Belt and Road initiative and the construction of the China Pakistan Economic Corridor, Xinjiang's position and importance in China's opening-up pattern will become more prominent in the future. It is expected to become the forefront and new highland of China's reform and opening-up, which will bring huge development opportunities to China Thailand group. He hoped that Zhongtai group would continue to carry forward the innovative spirit of daring to break new ground and try new things, plan ahead, focus on layout, grow into a world-class top 500 enterprise as soon as possible, and help Xinjiang become an international economic, trade, financial and transportation center open to the west of China.

Chairman Wang Hongxin warmly welcomed President Shen Hanyao and his delegation to visit Zhongtai group and held a symposium to conduct in-depth exchanges on the future development strategies and ideas of Zhongtai group. Zhang Hongyan, deputy secretary of the Party committee and director of the SASAC of Xinjiang Autonomous Region, Li Xiaoguang, chairman of the second board of supervisors, leaders of relevant departments and some leaders of China Thailand group attended the symposium. Zhang Hongyan fully affirmed the cooperation between China and Thailand and Wharton, highly appreciated President Shen Hanyao's speech, and pointed out that this has further improved the pattern and strengthened confidence for the development of China Thailand group. SASAC will continue to strongly support China Thailand group to become stronger and bigger.

During the inspection, Shen Hanyao and his delegation also communicated with relevant leaders of Xinjiang Autonomous Region, SASAC of Xinjiang Autonomous Region and major leaders of Bazhou, Turpan and other places.

Chen Daoqiang, general manager of Zhongtai group, Liu Xinchun, deputy general manager, Zhang Ganqing, Secretary of the Commission for Discipline Inspection, Li Liangfu, deputy general manager, Xiaojun, Secretary of the Party committee and executive deputy general manager of Zhongtai chemical, Li Yunhua, deputy general manager of Zhongtai chemical, Gao Lin, chairman of Zhongtai Korla petrochemical, and heads of some subordinate enterprises and departments of Zhongtai group attended the discussion and accompanied the investigation.
